Tarentum is the kind of town where the Christmas lights are part of the identity. Narrow lots, tall two-story homes with front porches, and streets that climb steeply from Riverview Memorial Park up toward Route 28. Two-story homes on narrow lots are a specific design problem. The front elevation is tall and thin, the roofline is often a single gable facing the street, and the porch roof sits well below it. We treat those as separate zones so the upper peak, the porch edge and the columns each get their own run of color-matched track.
