Permanent, Christmas and landscape lighting in Natrona Heights, PA

Natrona Heights is the top of Harrison Township, up the hill from the river and the mill, about 20 miles and 30 minutes from our shop. We light the brick homes near Heights Plaza and the newer streets out toward Harrison Hills Park.

Home at dusk with Thraxel permanent lighting tracing the roofline

Natrona Heights sits on the plateau above Natrona and the Allegheny, the first Allegheny County stop on our Route 28 run south from Kittanning. The drive is about 30 minutes. Most of the housing is mid-century brick, ranches and two-story homes with attached garages, on streets that were laid out for the mill families and have stayed steady ever since.

Those homes light well because the rooflines are simple and the fascia is solid. A ranch gets a single continuous run of color-matched track. A two-story gets the main roof, the garage and the porch as separate zones, so the Game Day scene can run across the whole front while the porch stays warm white. Every design starts as a render of your actual house, delivered within 48 hours of the consult.

The township also has a lot of pride in its high school, and Highlands purple and gold shows up in our scene requests here as often as Steelers colors. Halloween is big on these streets too. A permanent RGBWW system holds all of those scenes in the app, so the house does the season without anyone on a ladder.

Why Natrona Heights homes are a good fit

The Heights catches wind that the valley towns miss, and a wet snow off the river freezes hard on north-facing rooflines. The strip is sealed in IP67 marine-grade silicone on 16-gauge wire, salt-tested, and mounted in aluminum track that is screwed to the fascia. Ice dams form below it and slide past. The parts carry a 3-year warranty.

Neighbor spread is fast on Natrona Heights blocks because the lots are close and the sightlines are long. From our 2023 to 2025 project tracking, at least one neighbor on the same street booked within 18 months on 11 of the last 14 residential permanent installs. Those figures are directional rather than guaranteed, but the pattern holds here.

FAQ

What Natrona Heights homeowners ask us

Yes. Natrona Heights is about 20 miles and roughly 30 minutes from Thraxel's shop in Kittanning, down Route 28, and Harrison Township is inside our Allegheny County service area. We install permanent RGBWW roofline lighting, seasonal Christmas lighting and landscape lighting across the Heights, Natrona and the surrounding streets. The consult is free, and a render of your own house is returned within 48 hours.
Yes. Thraxel's permanent system uses RGBWW pixels with 16 million colors, so purple and gold for Highlands, black and gold for the Steelers, and red, white and blue for July 4th are all saved scenes in the Thraxel Lighting app. Switching between them takes one tap or a voice command through Alexa, Google Home or Apple HomeKit. A dedicated 2700K warm-white diode covers ordinary nights without looking like a display.
Not Thraxel's. The aluminum track is fastened to the fascia, below the drip edge and out of the path of ice sliding off the roof, rather than clipped to a gutter where a dam can pull it loose. The pixels themselves are sealed in IP67 marine-grade silicone on 16-gauge wire and are rated for snow load, ice and wind. The system stays up year-round, and parts are covered for 3 years.
