This Privacy Policy explains how Thraxel, LLC (“Thraxel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, request a quote, become a customer, or otherwise interact with us. By using our website or providing your information, you agree to the practices described here.

Information You Provide Directly

  • Contact details — name, email address, mobile phone number, mailing address, property address.
  • Project information — photos of your property, square footage, building dimensions, install preferences, project budget, and notes you give us.
  • Account & payment — billing information processed by our PCI-compliant payment processors (we do not store full card numbers on our servers).
  • Communications — the contents of emails, SMS messages, voicemails, chat sessions, and form submissions you send us.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data — pages viewed, links clicked, time on site, referring URL, approximate location based on IP.
  • Device data — browser type, operating system, device type, screen size.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used to remember preferences, measure performance, and (where you opt in) deliver advertising.

Information from Third Parties

  • Lead-generation partners and advertising platforms (where you’ve consented to be contacted by us).
  • Public business records and mapping data we use during quoting.

3. SMS / Text Message Marketing & Service Notifications

Plain-English summary: We only text you if you’ve given us express written consent — by checking a box on a form, replying YES to a confirmation, or telling us in writing. You can stop the texts any time by replying STOP. We never sell your phone number, and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing.

When you provide your mobile number and opt in, you agree that Thraxel, LLC may send you recurring text (SMS/MMS) messages, including:

  • Transactional messages — quote confirmations, scheduling, install-day arrival windows, service updates, invoice reminders, warranty notices.
  • Marketing messages — seasonal promotions (Christmas, Halloween, Valentine’s, St. Patrick’s Day, 4th of July, and similar holiday offers), new product or service announcements, customer-only events, and referral promotions — sent only if you have explicitly opted in to marketing.

How to opt in. You opt in by (a) checking a clearly labeled SMS-consent checkbox on our website forms, (b) texting a keyword we publish to our short or long code, or (c) signing a written agreement that includes the SMS-consent language.

Message frequency. Frequency varies. Marketing messages are typically sent no more than 4–8 times per month. Transactional messages are sent as needed.

Carrier charges. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your wireless plan. Thraxel does not charge you for receiving our messages.

Opting out. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT, CANCEL, or OPTOUT to any message. We will send a single confirmation message acknowledging the opt-out. After opt-out you will no longer receive marketing texts; we may still send transactional messages required to service an active project unless you also tell us in writing to stop those.

Carrier disclaimer. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No sale of phone numbers. Thraxel does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent records with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. SMS consent and the contents of SMS conversations are not shared with any third party except subprocessors strictly necessary to deliver the messages (e.g., our SMS gateway provider Twilio Inc.) and as required by law.

If you give us your email address through a form, a quote request, or a customer relationship, we may send you:

  • Transactional emails — quote follow-ups, project status, install logistics, invoices, warranty information.
  • Marketing emails — seasonal lighting offers, new service rollouts (such as RandyHome), event invitations, and referral programs — sent only where allowed by law and where you have not opted out.

Every marketing email contains a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. You can also email hq@thraxel.com to be removed from all marketing lists. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional emails about active services.

  • Quote, design, install, and service your lighting and related products.
  • Communicate with you about your project, billing, warranty, and support.
  • Send marketing communications you’ve opted in to receive.
  • Improve our website, products, and services.
  • Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect rights and safety.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

6. How We Share Information

We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers / subprocessors — payment processors, scheduling software, our SMS gateway (Twilio Inc.), our email service provider, hosting providers, CRM tools. They may only use the data to perform services for us.
  • Subcontractors — install crews and licensed electricians under written confidentiality, where needed to perform your project.
  • Legal & safety — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, with notice to you.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share SMS opt-in data with third parties for their marketing.

7. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, measure performance (e.g., Google Analytics), and — where you opt in — deliver advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings or our cookie banner where present.

8. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access & correction — request a copy of personal information we hold about you, and correct inaccuracies.
  • Deletion — request deletion, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Opt out of marketing — reply STOP to texts, click unsubscribe in emails, or email hq@thraxel.com.
  • State-specific rights — residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights including the right to opt out of “sales” or targeted advertising. Email us to exercise these rights.

9. Data Security & Retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure. We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent notice on the website.
