What the app actually controls
The Thraxel Lighting app is the primary interface for the whole system, from turning on Everyday Warm on a Tuesday night to switching every zone to Game Day black and gold before kickoff. Named scenes on the app include Everyday Warm, Game Day, Christmas, July 4th, Halloween, Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day.
Because every pixel is individually addressable, control is not limited to one setting for the whole house. Different zones, the roofline, columns, landscape beds, a dock, can run different colors or scenes at once, all adjusted from the same phone.
Brightness is part of that same interface too, not a separate dial or wall switch. A homeowner can dim the whole roofline for a quiet Tuesday or push it to full brightness for a driveway party, all from the same screen used to pick the color.

A standard residential installation relies on your home's Wi-Fi network to communicate between the app and the controller. For most houses in Armstrong, Butler and Westmoreland counties, that is a non-issue since the network already reaches the exterior.
