Permanent, Christmas and landscape lighting in Zelienople, PA

Zelienople is about 45 miles from Kittanning, close to an hour on the road. It is an old borough with a real Main Street, Victorian trim, and newer plans spreading into Jackson Township. We light both, from ornate porches to clean modern gables.

Two-story home with warm-white Christmas roofline lighting

Zelienople's Main Street is one of the better-preserved downtowns in Butler County, and the residential blocks behind it carry the same era: tall Victorians, deep porches, brackets, gingerbread and more trim than any installer wants to measure. That trim is the point. Permanent track follows eaves, porch rooflines and gable returns, and warm white on a painted Victorian looks like it belongs there.

Outside the borough, Jackson Township has filled in with newer plans near Route 19 and Route 68, many of them under HOA covenants. The approach there is different: long clean fascia runs, stone-veneer entries and a review board that wants to see daytime photos. The color-matched track handles daytime; the render we deliver within 24 hours handles the board.

We drive about 58 minutes from Kittanning to reach Zelienople, usually looping through Butler on the way out or Cranberry on the way back. Tyson does the consultation in person, sets four live RGBWW strips on your driveway, and shows the traditional warm-white look against the full color range. Nothing is decided until you have seen it on your own house.

Why Zelienople porches deserve better than staples

Old wood trim has been stapled, nailed and clipped for a hundred Decembers, and it shows. Aluminum track mounts once, with proper fasteners, and stays. After that there is nothing to hang and nothing to pull down. For seasonal C9 lighting on the same houses, our crews use clips and hangers, never staples, and every wire gets labeled at takedown.

The Connoquenessing runs right through town, and creek-bottom fog turns to ice on cold nights. Pixels sealed in IP67 silicone on 16-gauge wire are made for that, and a failed pixel can be identified individually from the controller before the truck leaves Kittanning.

FAQ

Zelienople lighting questions

How far is Zelienople from Thraxel?

Zelienople is roughly 45 miles from Thraxel's shop in Kittanning, which is about a 58-minute drive for the crew. That keeps it inside our primary Pennsylvania service area, so there is no travel surcharge on the free consultation or the install. Most Zelienople homes are installed in one to two days after you approve the render. Thraxel takes every call and text at 724-859-4390.

Can permanent lighting go on a Victorian home in Zelienople?

Yes, and older homes with real wood fascia often take the track better than new vinyl. Thraxel measures every eave, porch roof and gable return, mounts color-matched aluminum track to the trim with proper fasteners, and runs a dedicated 2700K warm-white diode so the house reads as period-appropriate at night. Color scenes are available for holidays whenever you want them.

Do you install Christmas lights in Zelienople without staples?

Never staples. Thraxel's seasonal crews attach C9 and mini lights with clips and hangers designed for shingles, gutters and trim, which protects the old wood common in Zelienople. Every seasonal install includes a design mock-up first, in-season repairs within 24 to 48 hours at no charge, and takedown starting January 4, with lights labeled and stored for next year.

Does Zelienople winter weather damage permanent lights?

Not the Thraxel system. Each pixel is sealed in IP67 marine-grade silicone, wired with 16-gauge cable and salt-tested, and the aluminum track holds through ice, snow load and wind off the Connoquenessing. The warranty runs 3 years on parts and 1 year on labor. If a single pixel fails, it is individually addressable and replacements are typically same-day.
