Washington, PA is the far southwest corner of our Pennsylvania route: about 75 miles and 90 minutes from Kittanning, at the crossing of I-70 and I-79. We install permanent roofline lighting, Christmas displays and landscape lighting on the Victorians near W&J and the newer plans in North and South Strabane.
Little Washington has real history and the houses to match. Blocks around Washington & Jefferson College and the courthouse hold Victorians, foursquares and brick Italianates with turned porch posts, brackets and trim to spare. Lighting a house like that is about choosing what to trace. We usually run the main roofline, pick out the porch, and leave the gingerbread to the daytime.
Drive ten minutes out and it is a different market: 1990s and 2000s plans in North and South Strabane with vinyl siding, front gables and two-car garages, plus rural properties with long driveways along the ridges. Those homes want clean, simple roofline runs and landscape lighting down the drive, and they benefit from HOA-friendly track where a plan has covenants.
